Welcome to the Amazing Grace Foundation.
The Mission of the Amazing Grace Foundation is to promote and
implement caring policies and programs that would alleviate deprivation,
adversity and helplessness among vulnerable children with "disabilities" in our
society.
The
Foundation
In
December, 1996, a group of concerned individuals interested in providing a home
for Denise Howell and some other children with special needs met, and as a
result of that meeting, the idea for the Amazing Grace Project was born with the
intention of caring for homeless children, with special needs, who were
currently residing at the Holberton Hospital and the Fiennes Institute – a home
usually for destitute citizens.
The Children
The
problems which these children face cannot be easily solved because, by
definition, “disability” means a physical incapacity, either congenital or
caused by injury, disease etc, which becomes a permanent feature of a person’s
life.
What We Offer
Alongside caring for our seven (7) resident children and up to
three day care children, the clinic is staffed with a qualified paediatrician who
sees approximately 150 children within the community.
The Amazing Grace Foundation charity welcomes anyone who wants to give
of time or donations etc.
